"My mentee … is brilliant, full of energy, and possesses a great deal of strength and optimism.  I’ve recently been introduced to her puppy and cat, and I’m continually amazed by how well she takes care of them and just by how much she knows about animals in general.  So far we’ve hung out at her place, gone to some parks, visited some different ice cream shops, heard a concert, and visited some toy shops.  I’m looking forward to getting to know Christina better and have her open up to me even more.”

“What I like about AFC is that it offers me an adult friend who listens to what I have to say and gives me some good advice. Parizad emphasizes how important it is for me to do well in school and how to handle social situations as I grow up.

My favorite group activity to do with other matches is going to the museums. We all get to spend time together and learn from the science or art exhibitions. Also, we have been bowling with another mentor and her mentee, which is great!”
